Giordana Women's La Posta Urto Bib Short Info

Lightweight compression is the idea behind the Giordana Women's La Posta Urto Bib Short, a midsummer bib that Giordana built for high heat and long miles. It is made from Quattro fabric, a woven construction that Giordana says delivers a high-compression feel with balanced stretch in every direction, so it supports without restricting movement.

Fabric and construction

The Quattro body is 71% nylon and 29% elastane and carries a UPF 50+ rating. Giordana describes it as abrasion resistant and fast drying. The mesh back panel adds ventilation and is 90% nylon, 6% elastane and 4% carbon. It holds two rear cargo pockets. The 1on1 paneling system gives each leg a single seam, and the leg hems are laser cut for a smooth, barely there finish.

The bib straps are dual stretch and perforated.

Chamois and fit

The pad is the Cirro S-W chamois, infused with Aloe Vera. Giordana designed the Urto to perform across many riders and body types, with a sculpted fit that adapts to your effort and the terrain. If you are unsure of your size, Giordana points riders to its Fit Quiz and size and inseam charts.

The Urto is part of the La Posta collection, drawing on vintage postage and old-world detail, with earth-inspired colorways. This women's version comes in brown and orange in sizes 2XS through 2XL. It is made in Italy, and care instructions call for a cold 30 degree C machine wash with no tumble drying.

The RA Perspective

The Urto is the lighter-duty bib in Giordana's La Posta lineup, and the pitch is clear: a compressive woven fabric that does not feel like a heavy winter short when the thermometer climbs. The UPF 50+ rating helps on exposed legs, and the mesh back and perforated straps are there for airflow.

Fit is where this bib stands out on paper. A high-compression feel and a woven fabric usually mean a short that holds its shape and does not bag at the thigh over a long day. The 1on1 paneling uses one seam per leg, so there is less to rub against the skin, and the laser-cut hems finish clean with no thick band.

The honest tradeoff is that compression is a feel some riders love and others find too snug. If you like a loose, relaxed short, or you are between sizes, sizing carefully matters more here, and you should plan on using the size and inseam charts or our team. Also note that the woven fabric is built for hot weather. It is not a cool-weather short, and the care instructions say no tumble drying and no ironing, so treat it with care to keep it in shape.

We would reach for this bib on summer centuries and long group rides where you want a supportive feel and a women's chamois, the Cirro S-W. The brown and orange colorways are a nice departure from the usual black.
