Made from Dryarn fabric, the Giordana Midweight Knitted Long Sleeve Base Layer is a knit layer Giordana designed to move moisture away from your skin quickly. It is a midweight piece intended for early fall and winter riding, and Giordana says it works on its own under a lightweight thermal jersey, vest or jacket on cool days, or beneath several layers when the cold gets serious.
Knit and fit
The knit uses a varied density construction. Giordana says that approach limits ventilation panels to the places that need them, helping regulate core temperature while keeping the layer warm where you want it. The stretchy, tubular knit conforms to the body like a second skin, with light elastic at the cuffs and waist. Giordana also lists anti-bacterial properties.
The fabric is 95% polyamide and 5% elastane. To care for it, hang or lay it flat to dry and keep it out of the tumble dryer. It is made in Italy.
Sizing
Sizing is unisex and runs XS/S, M/L, XL/2XL and 3XL/4XL, in black or white. Giordana notes the knit has a lot of stretch because of its tubular construction. For men between sizes it suggests sizing down one size from your usual jersey size, and for women it recommends sizing down one to two sizes.
