Giordana Men's Urto Bib Short Info

The Giordana Men's Urto Bib Short is built for summer heat. Giordana made it from Quattro, a lightweight, compressive woven fabric, so the short feels supportive and moves with you without feeling restrictive. The main body is 71% nylon and 29% elastane.

What is in the cut

Giordana describes a confident, sculpted fit that adapts to your effort and terrain. The 1on1 Paneling System runs one seam per leg, the leg hem is laser cut for a barely-there finish, and the Quattro fabric is abrasion resistant, fast-drying and rated UPF 50+.

Chamois, straps and storage

The chamois is Cirro S with Aloe Vera infusion. Perforated dual-stretch bib straps lead into a mesh back panel, a nylon, elastane and carbon blend, that holds two rear cargo pockets.

Made in Italy, in black, in sizes XS through 3XL. To size correctly, Giordana points riders to its fit quiz, size chart and inseam chart. Machine wash cold at 30 degrees C, and do not bleach, iron or tumble dry.

The RA Perspective

The Urto is a bib short for long, hot days, and its Quattro fabric is the reason to look at it. It is a lightweight compressive woven that Giordana says moves naturally with the body, with a high-compression feel that is supportive without restricting.

For men, the range runs from XS to 3XL, which is a wide spread for a performance short. The details are sensible: the Cirro S chamois, perforated bib straps, laser-cut leg hems and a mesh back with two cargo pockets that let you carry gels or a small tool without loading up your jersey. UPF 50+ matters on exposed roads in summer.

The tradeoff is the fit. Compression shorts are snug by design, and the Urto is no exception, so if you like a roomier or softer feel, you may find it firmer than expected. It is also a hot-weather product, not something to wear in cool conditions, and Giordana does not give chamois thickness, so we cannot say how it compares for riders who spend very long days in the saddle. Check the size and inseam charts or take the fit quiz first.
