Men Road Bottoms - RA Cycles

Men Road Bottoms

The bib short is the garment every road rider builds their kit around — and once you've ridden in a well-made one, the difference is obvious. Men's Road Bottoms at RA Cycles covers the full category: bib shorts for summer training and racing, spring/fall and winter bib tights for shoulder-season riding, roadsuits for the days when one-piece speed matters, and recovery shorts for after. Assos anchors the collection across every temperature and pace — from the accessible Mille GT through the Mille GTO and up to the Equipe RS and RSR at the flagship level. Cafe du Cycliste brings brushed Italian fabrics and a more considered aesthetic for riders who want premium performance without the full race-kit look. Giordana and Bianchi Milano round out the range with options at more accessible price points.

Men's Road Bottoms

The most important variable in a bib short is the chamois — its shape, density, and how it sits relative to your saddle and riding position. Beyond that, fabric weight determines the temperature range a short handles well: summer fabrics stay dry and cool, spring/fall fabrics add light insulation and wind resistance, and dedicated winter tights put warmth first without sacrificing structure. Inseam length and bib strap design affect comfort on long rides in ways that matter more the longer you spend in the saddle. Getting these details right is the difference between kit you wear occasionally and kit you reach for every time.

Assos builds the most complete range in the collection — from the Mille GT Bib Short for training through the Mille GTO's upgraded chamois to the Equipe RS and RSR at the top. The Equipe RS Rapidfire Chronosuit and Le Houdini Roadsuit cover one-piece racing for the days when you want minimal drag and maximum speed. Cafe du Cycliste's brushed bib shorts and tights offer premium Italian construction with a less conventional look, made for riders who want performance without the full pro-kit aesthetic. Giordana's NX-G Bib Short brings serious Italian craftsmanship at a strong price point; Bianchi Milano covers the more accessible end of the range.

Build out your road kit with men's road tops and cycling skinsuits. For colder riding, explore cycling tights and knickers. For the full Assos bib selection in one place, see Assos bib shorts.
