Designed to clamp securely around the upper stanchion of internally routed dropper posts, the Valais 25 provides a stable mounting point for seat bags while shifting essential cargo off the frame and onto the bike’s most underused real estate: the seatpost.

Its dual-lip design grips straps up to 25 mm wide, creating a consistent, slip-free connection even during aggressive descending or full-suspension compression. At full drop, the Valais’ deep skirt contacts the seal collar before the bag does, protecting delicate seals from grit, abrasion, and premature wear. Injection-molded from DuPont™ Delrin®, the Valais 25 is lightweight, non-marring, and strong enough to double as a temporary support should a dropper fail in the backcountry—allowing riders to pedal out comfortably instead of being stuck in a slammed saddle position.

Available in two diameters, the Valais is compatible with a wide range of 25 mm and 26 mm stanchion dropper posts from brands like RockShox, RaceFace, Specialized, Fox, OneUp, and others. It also serves as a travel limiter on race day when full drop isn’t required. Installation is straightforward, requiring only light torque, and final adjustments ensure proper saddle bag clearance under suspension compression.

Wolf Tooth Valais 25 Specs

Purpose: Allows saddle bag use with dropper posts; protects stanchions and seals.

Strap Compatibility: Optimized for 25 mm (1") straps; works with wider straps as needed.

Travel Limiting: Reduces dropper travel by at least 25 mm.

Material: Injection-molded DuPont™ Delrin® thermoplastic; non-marring and durable.

Weight: 20 g (25 mm); 19 g (26 mm).

Fit Options: 25 mm and 26 mm internal-routing dropper stanchions.

Protection: Deep skirt contacts seal collar before the seal lip.

Torque: 2–3 Nm.

Made in the USA: Designed and manufactured in Minnesota.

Design Benefits

Enables cargo on droppers: Securely supports small and mid-size saddle bags without harming the post.

Stanchion protection: Prevents wear caused by strap friction, grit, and bag movement.

Emergency function: Acts as a temporary support if a dropper fails, allowing a comfortable ride out.

Fine-tuned positioning: Adjustable placement ensures tire-to-bag clearance under full suspension compression.

Final Take

The Valais 25 is a clever, durable, and highly practical solution for riders who rely on dropper posts but still want secure saddle bag storage.
