The 3mm inboard offset is designed specifically for the 148x12mm Boost rear hub standard, keeping the chainline dialed where it needs to be.

What makes X-SYNC work as a 1x solution without a chain guide is the tooth profile itself. Alternating wide-narrow teeth engage with the inner and outer chain plates respectively, holding the chain on under the kind of rough, choppy terrain that would drop a conventional ring. The taller, squared tooth tops and mud-clearing recesses at the base keep things running through conditions where chain retention matters most. These rings mate with splined direct-mount crankarms secured by three bolts — if your crankset uses this interface, installation is straightforward.

SRAM X-SYNC Direct Mount Chainring Specs at a Glance

Available sizes: 28t, 34t

Offset: 3mm inboard (Boost chainline)

Compatibility: Splined direct-mount crankarms with 3-bolt retention

Color: Black

Designed for: 10- and 11-speed chains in 1x drivetrain applications

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0608/7684/9196/files/sram-x-sync-direct-mount-chainring-for-boost-8315399.jpg?v=1771296556
