The SGS long cage handles the full spread of a 10-45T cassette, giving you the range you need for steep climbs without sacrificing smoothness at the top end.

The integrated Shadow RD+ stabilizer damps cage movement under load, reducing chain slap and keeping the drivetrain quiet on technical, choppy terrain. Larger 13T sealed-bearing pulleys run with less friction than smaller alternatives, and the cage-mounted bumper adds a layer of impact protection while contributing to faster, more positive shifts. Tension is actively reduced in low gears — a detail that keeps things quiet when you're grinding up a long climb and the chain is under its greatest load.

Shimano XT RD-M8120 12s Rear Derailleur SGS — Specs at a Glance

Weight: 290g

Material: Aluminum

Compatibility: Shimano 12-speed 2x mountain bike system

Max cassette range: 10-45T

Pulley: 13T, sealed bearing, SGS long cage

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0608/7684/9196/files/shimano-xt-rd-m8120-12s-rear-derailleur-sgs-3795980.jpg?v=1771297209
