The Shimano Ultegra BR-R8010 Rear Direct Mount Brake does exactly that — a 160g aluminum caliper designed for aero road frames and seatstay-mounted direct mount positions, with arm geometry that keeps the profile narrow without sacrificing tire clearance.

The BR-R8010 accepts tires up to 28mm wide and is compatible with rim widths between 20.8mm and 28mm, so you're not forced to run narrow rubber to make the setup work. The anodized finish holds up to regular use, and at 51mm brake arm length, the caliper sits firmly in Ultegra territory — reliable, consistent stopping power that matches well with the rest of a road groupset build.

Shimano Ultegra BR-R8010 Rear Direct Mount Brake — Specs at a Glance

Weight: 160g

Max Tire Clearance: 28mm

Compatible Rim Width: 20.8–28mm

Brake Arm Length: 51mm

Material: Aluminum, anodized finish

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0608/7684/9196/files/shimano-ultegra-br-r8010-rear-direct-mount-brake-2507721.jpg?v=1771297271
