As part of Shimano's 12-speed GRX 820 groupset, the RX822 handles a wide 10-51T cassette range, giving you the low gearing to grind steep unpaved climbs and enough top-end for fast tarmac connectors between them.

The Shadow RD+ mechanism keeps the derailleur quiet and controlled on rough ground. Its integrated chain stabilizer — designed to reduce chain slap and prevent drops on technical sections — can be switched off when conditions don't require it, so you're not adding unnecessary tension on smoother surfaces. It's a practical feature that earns its place on longer mixed-terrain rides where the trail can go from chunder to hardpack without warning.

Shimano GRX RX822 Rear Derailleur SGS Specs at a Glance

Speeds: 12-speed

Cassette compatibility: 10-51T

Cage length: SGS (long cage)

Chain stabilizer: Shadow RD+ with on/off switch

Colour: Black

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0608/7684/9196/files/shimano-grx-rx822-rear-derailleur-sgs-4467430.jpg?v=1771297810
