This press-fit adapter bridges that gap using two machined 7075-T6 aluminum cups and hybrid ceramic bearings — ceramic balls running against steel races for reduced rolling resistance and better durability over time.

The BB386 EVO standard offers an 86.5mm shell width and 46mm inner diameter, giving frame designers the stiffness benefits of a wider shell without locking you into a specific spindle diameter. Rotor's ceramic bearing choice here is a logical fit — ceramic balls are harder and rounder than steel, which means less friction and greater tolerance for the contamination and load cycling a bottom bracket endures. At 111g for the complete set, the assembly adds minimal weight to the equation. Installation follows a straightforward press-fit process: one cup, the sealing cylinder, then the second cup.

Rotor PF4624 (EVO386) to 24mm Specs at a Glance

Bottom bracket standard: BB386 EVO (PF4624)

Spindle compatibility: 24mm thru-axle

Shell width: 86.5mm

Shell inner diameter: 46mm

Bearing type: Hybrid ceramic (ceramic balls, steel races)

Weight: 111g (complete set)

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0608/7684/9196/files/rotor-pf4624-evo386-to-24mm-ceramic-bottom-bracket-1012292.jpg?v=1771298647
