That spider is the core of the system, and it does the heavy lifting: measuring your output consistently, broadcasting simultaneously over ANT+ and Bluetooth Low Energy, and doing all of it without requiring a magnet on the frame to wake it up.

Accuracy sits at ±1.5%, and the system includes temperature compensation across a 10,000-degree range to keep readings consistent as conditions change through a ride. OmniCal means you won't need to recalibrate when swapping chainrings — a genuine convenience for riders who run multiple setups. The user-replaceable CR2032 coin cell battery is easy to source, and an IPX7 waterproof rating means the unit handles rain without complaint. A color-coded LED gives you real-time feedback on battery status and zero calibration. Firmware updates are handled wirelessly through the Qalvin app.

Quarq DZero GXP Aluminum Crank Specs at a Glance

BCD: 130mm

Spindle interface: GXP

Accuracy: ±1.5%

Wireless: ANT+ and Bluetooth Low Energy (simultaneous broadcast)

Battery: CR2032, user-replaceable

Waterproof rating: IPX7

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0608/7684/9196/files/quarq-dzero-gxp-aluminum-crank-4664674.jpg?v=1771294455
