Giordana notes the treatment lets the fabric absorb very little water, so it stays lighter than an untreated fabric and keeps its breathability even when soaked.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe third layer is a wind-resistant membrane, and Giordana places it strategically: it starts at the middle of the body where the legs meet the torso, then runs down over the thigh, knee and shin. Those are the areas that take the wind head-on while you pedal.
