chris-king-threadfit-t47-24x-ceramic-bottom-bracket
Chris King ThreadFit T47 24x Ceramic Bottom Bracket

The Chris King ThreadFit T47 24x Ceramic Bottom Bracket pairs the frame stiffness of a large-diameter shell with the precision and quiet operation of a threaded interface. Built around Chris King's T47 threaded standard, it fits both 68mm and 73mm shell widths and accepts 24mm-spindle cranksets, giving frame builders the structural benefits typically associated with press-fit systems without the creaking and premature wear that press-fit tolerances can introduce.

At the core of this bottom bracket are Chris King's proprietary angular-contact ceramic bearings, engineered, manufactured, and hand-assembled in Portland, Oregon. Unlike standard cartridge bearings that wear down with use, the angular-contact design allows the bearings to be adjusted as they break in, so drag actually decreases over time rather than increasing. The ceramic upgrade reduces rolling resistance further and adds durability against contamination compared to steel bearings. Every bearing is hand-inspected before assembly, and the bottom bracket is fully user-serviceable — a snap ring gives access for cleaning and re-greasing without specialty tools, though installation itself requires a Chris King bottom bracket cup tool.

A Fit Kit is included to match the bottom bracket to your specific frame and crank combination, and the bottom bracket carries Chris King's Lifetime Warranty. For riders building up a frame with a T47 shell and looking to eliminate bottom bracket creak for good, this is a component designed to outlast the rest of the drivetrain around it.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0608/7684/9196/files/CHRIS-KING-THREADFIT-T47-24X-BOTTOM-BRACKET-TWO-TONE-BLACK-PUNCH_44d63821-5efc-45ff-b411-317b2a4422db.jpg?v=1788386511
