The larger pulleys reduce the angle the chain wraps through at each pulley, which cuts friction and drivetrain drag compared to the smaller pulleys Shimano ships stock. This is the standard version of the system, running CeramicSpeed's low-friction bearings without the coated bearing upgrade.

CeramicSpeed reports overall power savings of 30-60% over a stock pulley setup, and in some cases more, largely from reduced chain articulation and lower friction in the bearings and seals. The oversized tooth profile also extends pulley wheel life to roughly 3-5 times that of a standard OE pulley, since the larger diameter spreads chain wear across more contact points over the life of the part. The cage itself is built from carbon fiber, keeping weight low while protecting the pulley wheels from impact.

Every system ships with a 15ml dropper bottle of CeramicSpeed's own bearing oil, so you can maintain the bearings' low-friction performance without guessing at compatible lubricants. It's a straightforward bolt-on upgrade for Dura-Ace 9200 or Ultegra 8100 riders who want a real efficiency gain without stepping up to CeramicSpeed's coated bearing or newer RS cage options.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0608/7684/9196/files/ceramicspeed-oversized-pulley-wheel-system-shimano-dura-ace-9250ultegra-8150-5578945.jpg?v=1771301707
https://ricycles.com/products/ceramicspeed-oversized-pulley-wheel-system-shimano-dura-ace-9250-ultegra-8150
