Giordana Women's Vero Tri Doppio Suit

Giordana designed the Giordana Women's Vero Tri Doppio Suit as something between a road suit and a favorite jersey and bib pairing, for racing or for easy solo weekend rides. This version is purple and black, in sizes XS through 2XL.

How the suit is built

The jersey top is sewn roughly two thirds of the way around the waist of the shorts. Giordana says that holds the bottoms up and keeps the jersey from riding, and that the result combines the comfort of separates with a skinsuit's aero fit. A full zipper finishes in a garage at the neck, and the scooped neck has no collar, so it stays flat when unzipped. The sleeves have no hems; they are contoured at the ends and need no gripper.

Materials

Smooth, stretchy microfiber (UPF 30+) covers the front, shoulders and sleeves. The back panel is a three-dimensional woven fabric (UPF 20+) that Giordana designed to evaporate sweat and to keep loaded pockets from sagging. It carries a Microfresh treatment against odor. Two pockets open from the side and sit beneath the back panel, and Lycra piping trims the pockets, collar and front waist hem.

Shorts and chamois

The shorts are adapted from the Vero Pro Tri Shorts, with a contoured front panel in place of a drawstring. The fabric is Top Gear Lycra Power with a DWR treatment, a durable, low-compression, high-stretch spandex rated UPF 50+ that Giordana says resists waterlogging and chlorine. The leg hems are 5cm wide, and the tri-specific chamois, topped with aloe vera-infused fabric, is attached with Tri-Stitch. Made in Italy.
