Giordana Men's Vero Pro MTB Mesh Short Liner Info

The Giordana Men's Vero Pro MTB Mesh Short Liner is a lightweight padded liner that goes under baggy or cargo mountain bike shorts. Giordana describes it as a minimal piece of clothing that packs in a lot of comfort, and it is aimed at riders who would rather skip bib shorts.

Open mesh gives the liner its breathability, helping it shed heat and moisture while it holds the aloe vera-infused Cirro chamois in place. The fabric is 80% nylon and 20% elastane, finished with a 5cm elastic at the inside of the waistband and a turned-over leg hem.

It is made in Italy, comes in black, and runs XS through 3XL. Wash it at 40°C or less.

Think of this as the padding layer for your existing baggy shorts. The Men's Vero Pro Mesh Liner gives you a chamois and a stretchy mesh base without adding a lot of fabric to a hot trail day, and it stays out of sight under whatever you ride in.

The main reason we suggest a liner over a bib is flexibility. Many mountain bikers already own shorts they like, and a liner lets you keep them. Giordana built this one with open, lightweight mesh and a 5cm internal elastic at the waist, which should keep it from rolling or bunching while you pedal and hike. The Cirro chamois is infused with aloe vera, and the mesh around it is meant to keep it from shifting.

Know what you are buying, though. It is a liner, so it does not replace a short on its own, and the open mesh is not designed for wearing as an outer layer. Sizing matters as well: a snug fit under your baggies is the whole point, so go with the size chart rather than sizing up for room.

We would reach for this for trail days and mixed-terrain rides where you want a padded base under a looser short. It is black, made in Italy, and sold in sizes XS through 3XL.
