The Giordana Men's FR-C Thermal Bib Tight is a full-length bib tight for cool-weather training, made from Blizzard fabric that Giordana describes as element repelling. Where the knicker stops at mid calf, this tight carries on to the ankle, with elastic leg cuffs that stretch without the bulk of zippers.
Fabric and layout
Blizzard is a 250g, high-stretch, abrasion-resistant fabric with an Acqua Zero water repellent treatment. The interior is brushed around the thighs, the front of the shins and the lower back to retain warmth, while breathable panels start at the front of the knee and run around the calf and down to the ankle to regulate temperature during high-output efforts. A higher waistline improves fit and comfort, and the stretchy, stabilizing bib straps add core support, with an upper mesh back for breathability when layering. Two reflective stripes sit at the back of the calves.
Saddle panel and pad
The updated saddle panel has a ceramic coating for abrasion resistance, a Cordura insert and a soft brushed microfiber interior. The chamois is the aloe-infused, anti-microbial Omniform Cirro S, matched with the Copa Mondiale sculpted fit. Giordana's Body Clone technology provides the second-skin fit of its FR-C Pro (FormaRed-Carbon) range, which is designed to be race-ready and close to the body.
Straight-cut hems and waistband finish it off. The tight is made in Italy from 85% nylon and 15% elastane, in black, Poseidon blue or cedar green, sizes XS through 3XL. Machine wash at 40°C or less on a reduced cycle, no bleach or iron, and hang or lay flat to dry.
