The Giordana Men's FR-C Thermal Bib Knicker is a cool-weather bib knicker that Giordana built for hard training and racing in milder climates. It ends in elastic cuffs at mid calf, so it covers the legs without going full winter tight.
Where the warmth goes
The fabric is a 250g Blizzard stretch weave with an Acqua Zero water repellent treatment, and the interior is brushed over the thighs, the front of the shins and the lower back. Giordana placed the brushed areas there to hold warmth where it matters while breathable panels, starting at the front of the knee and wrapping around the calf, let heat out when the effort goes up. A higher waistline and stretchy stabilizing bib straps provide core support, and the upper back is mesh for breathability when you are layering over it. Two reflective stripes sit at the back of the calves for low light.
Chamois and construction
The updated saddle panel has a ceramic coating for abrasion resistance, with a Cordura insert and a soft brushed microfiber interior. The pad is Giordana's top-line Omniform Cirro S chamois, aloe-infused and anti-microbial, paired with the Copa Mondiale sculpted fit for longer rides. The waistband and leg hems are straight cut, and Giordana's Body Clone technology gives the snug, second-skin fit the FR-C line is known for.
The FR-C range is race-ready and cut close to the body. The knicker is made in Italy from 85% nylon and 15% elastane. It comes in black, Poseidon blue and cedar green, in sizes XS through 3XL. Machine wash at 40°C or less on a reduced cycle, do not bleach or iron, and hang or lay flat to dry.
