Capo Super Corsa Compatto DWR Wind Jacket Info

The Capo Super Corsa Compatto DWR Wind Jacket is an ultra-lightweight, windproof and water-resistant jacket that packs down small enough to carry on every ride. Capo describes it as a transition garment for year-round use, and this updated version is PFAS free.

Fabric and fit

The jacket is made from Compatto DWR fabric, which Capo designed to block wind and resist moisture, and the fabrics are Italian. The pattern is anatomic, with articulated arms, a shaped waist and sleeves tailored for a streamlined fit in the riding position. Capo waist elastic keeps the hem from riding up.

Packing and visibility

A rear security pocket doubles as a reversible, zippered storage pouch, so the whole jacket can be stowed inside it and carried in a jersey pocket. The 4mm zipper has a lockable slider. Reflective inserts and a reflective heat transfer logo on the back help drivers see you when the light is poor. It is made in Italy, comes in black, and is sized XS through XXL.

The RA Perspective

Every rider needs a jacket that lives in the jersey pocket and comes out when the descent gets cold or a front rolls in. The Compatto is built for that role. It is light, it blocks wind, and it packs into its own rear pocket, which saves you from hunting for a place to stash it.

The fit is what we would point out. Capo cut it with articulated arms and a shaped waist, so it sits close in the riding position and does not flap at speed. The lockable 4mm zipper helps too, since a loose slider on a descent is irritating. The PFAS free DWR treatment is a plus for riders who care what their gear is treated with.

Know what it is not. Capo calls the fabric water resistant, which means it handles light moisture and spray, not a sustained downpour. It is also a wind layer rather than an insulated jacket, so on a properly cold day you will want a base layer underneath or a heavier piece altogether.

For spring and fall rides, early starts, mountain descents and travel kits where weight and space matter, this is the sort of jacket that earns a permanent spot in the pocket.
