The Scott Foil RC Team Replica Bike is Scott's aero road bike built up with the parts a WorldTour mechanic would reach for: a SRAM Red AXS E1 drivetrain with a power meter, Zipp 454 NSW carbon wheels, and a Syncros aero cockpit. It's a race bike first, and the build shows it. Nothing on it is there to hit a price point.

An Aero Frame Built Around HMX Carbon

The frame and fork are Foil RC HMX carbon, the top of Scott's carbon range for the Foil. The Foil has long been Scott's answer to the question of how fast a road bike can be when the wind, not the gradient, is doing most of the resisting. That describes most of a flat race, a breakaway, or a fast group ride on open roads. Scott designs the Foil's tube shapes around airflow, and the fork pairs with a 1" eccentric carbon steerer. The Acros AIF-1138S headset and the Syncros Duncan SL Aero seatpost keep the front end and rear of the bike consistent with that aero approach.

The cockpit is the Syncros Creston iC SL Aero, a bar and stem combination that fits the Foil's front end rather than adapting a conventional handlebar to it. Syncros RC tape covers the bar, and a Selle Italia SLR 3D Carbon saddle handles the seat end. It is a firm, race-oriented perch, and it suits a bike that expects you to be in the drops or on the hoods at effort.

SRAM Red AXS E1, Power Meter Included

The drivetrain is SRAM Red AXS E1 throughout: wireless electronic shifting, hydraulic disc brakes, and a 12-speed XG-1290 E1 cassette in a 10-33 range. The crankset comes with an integrated power meter and 48/35 chainrings, so training with numbers works from the first ride without adding a separate sensor. The 48/35 pairing with a 10-33 cassette gives a tall top gear for fast flats and descents and a low gear that keeps steep climbs manageable. A SRAM DUB PF Road bottom bracket with ceramic bearings sits in the frame's 86.5mm press-fit shell.

Braking uses SRAM Paceline X rotors, 160mm in front and 140mm in the rear. Hydraulic discs give consistent modulation when a descent turns wet, and because the system is wireless there are no shift cables to route through the aero frame and cockpit.

Zipp 454 NSW Wheels and 30mm Tires

Zipp's 454 NSW wheels come fitted front and rear. They are a race-oriented carbon wheelset that matches the Foil's aero intent, and they are a large part of why this build sits at the top of the range. Continental Grand Prix 5000 S TR tires wrap them in a 700x30 size. That width is on the generous side for a race bike. Wider tires at sensible pressures tend to roll well on real road surfaces and add comfort over a long day, which helps an aero frame stay usable on rides longer than a criterium.

Fit and Sizing

The Foil RC Team Replica is offered in sizes S through XL. The geometry is race-oriented: in the size L, for example, the stack is 568mm and the reach is 394.5mm, with a 73-degree head tube angle and a 412mm chainstay length that stays constant across sizes. Short chainstays keep the rear end tight and responsive when you jump out of a corner or accelerate on a climb. Head tube lengths grow from 121mm in the S to 181mm in the XL, so taller riders get a taller front end without changing the bike's basic character. The maximum rider weight is 264 lbs, which includes the rider, the bike, the equipment, and any luggage.

Who It's For

This is a bike for riders who race, ride fast group rides, or simply want a complete, top-spec aero road bike that needs nothing upgraded on day one. Pedals are not included, so bring your own.
